Higher volumes are worth a conversation — the platform fee is what moves, and the per-message rates below do not.

Rate card

Then a flat rate per message.

Meta prices WhatsApp by what the message is for, so we do too — and we publish the number. This is the same rate card the console meters against.

MarketingWhatsApp

Promotions, offers, re-engagement — anything that sells.

Every message you send inside the 24 hours after someone replies. Meta starts charging for these on 1 October 2026 — until then they cost nothing, and we publish our rand rate as soon as Meta publishes theirs.

R0Replies are not on this slider because they are never charged. Every message you send in the 24 hours after someone writes back is free, however many you send.

160SMS is billed per segment, not per message. Up to 160 characters is one segment; longer messages split into more, and accents or emoji shorten a segment to 70.

Why it reads like this

No pass-through arithmetic.

01/Rands, not dollars

Meta bills conversations in US dollars and the rate moves daily. We publish one rand rate per category and carry that day-to-day movement, so your invoice never moves because the rand did. Published rates do remain subject to Meta repricing and sustained exchange-rate movement — but a change is announced, and never applies to a month already running.

02/Replies cost nothing today

When someone writes back, a 24-hour window opens and everything you send inside it is free. Meta begins charging for those replies on 1 October 2026; we will publish our rand rate the moment theirs is public, and we will not quietly start billing for something we called free.

03/Billed on send

One message sent, one message charged, metered the moment it leaves. Opt-outs and unreachable numbers are excluded before the send, so you are never billed to talk to someone who cannot hear you.

04/You watch it accrue

The statement builds live in the console with a month-end projection. Nothing is revealed on invoice day, because you have been able to see it the whole month.
